This is chisel-edge travertine non-filled. As an added touch we continued the pattern down the stairs. Edges are bullnosed.  All holes were filled with grout and the stone was sealed with Porous Pro Sealer (an absolute must for soft stone)

Below is one of our slab jobs The customer picked out the slabs at Import stone and then approved the location of the templates on those slabs.  This way special characteristics of their slab appear in the locations desired.Note the undermount sink .Full backsplash is 2 x 2 White Marble Porcelin from Arizona Tile 

This is start to finish.  Tearout involves carefully masking and enclosing the area in plastic before tearing off everything down to the plywood, and in this case I replaced the plywood also to accomodate the new cooktop and sink.  This cooktop required additional modification of the cabinets in order to fit.

This is the float job.  After the cutouts are made and the new plywood secured cap strip is secured to the outside edges and set at just the right height for level  .Aqua bar paper and 2,5 metal lath followed by fat mud,(I use only fat mud or wall mud for strength)  Afterwards I manicure the surface so that the float job is perfectly level.

I personally bullnosed these procelin tiles. This is so that we could avoid using bullnose pieces from the factory which are not the same length or size.  This tight joint line gives the look of slab while still allowing the variety of colors available  in porcelin  Marble and granite squares are installed the same method however this price saving chioice might cut your costs in half compared to slabs and other materials such as Corian.  This countertop is probably more durable than all other surfaces because procelin is the hardest material available. It's stain resistance is similar to that of glass(impervious). 14 inch tile from San Diego Marble and Tile, deco rope from Home Expo.    

This finished product  never requires sealer nor maintenance.  The lifetime guarantee  is from laticrete.  It involves the use of some special thin sets (#254) and epoxy grout (spectralock)

Andy and Angelica did a wonderful job on my kitchen countertop.  They had to overcome many obstacles such as crooked walls, uneven angels and a window ledge that looked like a roller coaster.  Andy also custom bullnosed all my edge pieces and designed a beautiful tile layout minimizing grout lines.  With their skill and expertise they were able to give me a straight and true beautiful new countertop.  They are honest and reliable and have been more than helpful in follow-up.  I recommend them wholeheartedly!
