We are a Tile, stone and flooring installation Contractor in San Diego County. AAA PLUS FLOORS R US,INC., dba Bertrem Custom Tile and Marble is our new name. We were and still are Bertrem Custom Tile & marble, License #718757, forever. We specialize in the installation of all types of hard surface flooring. Some of these are: tile, marble, granite, limestone, travertine, and all other types of natural stone, as well as hardwood and laminates. We install over all types of subsurfaces and use methods outlined in the handbook for ceramic tile installation, published by the Tile Council of America.
We use many different subsurface preparations such as: corkboard sound abatement, Hardibacker and other types of cementacious backer boards, old style cement float over wood, as well as all types of concrete slab issues which may arise.

We are very pet friendly, so much so, in fact, that many of them want to go home with us. Maybe it's because we have six dogs(mostly Samoyeds)and four cats ourselves.

Here we are with my daughter and sister at The National Ovarian Cancer Society, San Diego Chapter, Charity luncheon. News 8's Beth Shelburne presented the first annual Reba Brophy-King achievement award . Reba was Andy's mom and wrote the society column for San Diego Magazine .She started the San Diego Chapter with the hope that she could save just one life. She would be proud to know that she has touched the lives of thousands of people. Even five years after she passed away she is still being honored, incredible!
That is Angelica kneeling. She dances with Jean's Dance Studio. Here they are performing at Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church street fair. This number is called Car Wash and is one of two she performs around town. They perforned twice at the Del Mar Fair.
Andy Bertrem is a 1973 graduate of La Jolla High School where he was all CIFOutfielderand was the 621st player chosen in the 1973 Professional baseball draft by the San Francisco Giants He still holds the all time record for innings pitched in one season and is 10th all time for batting average.After several years at USD He quit the baseball team and transfered to SDSU. In 1978 he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. After several years as an accountant, and even was Assistant Controller for Nurseryland Garden Centers he got into the tile business. At first in sales(which we still assist you with) and then installations. He found that he was so talented at installations, and layout, and design that it is all that he has done since.Andy Bertrem is president of AAAPlus Floors R Us Inc., dba Bertrem Custom Tile & Marble. He is a ceramic tile consultant for the Ceramic Tile Institute of America and has over 30 years experience installing and maintaining tile and stone. He is a Board member of the Tile Contractors Association of San Diego
